Meet the Pros
Meet the Pros allows you to share your leadership knowledge with your peers at a statewide conference.
Do you have an amazing activity at your school? Are you passionate about a topic and want others to learn more about it? Then, Meet the Pros is a great opportunity for you to share those ideas with other student leaders! Together, we can work to create positive changes within our schools and communities. Get MTP Ready!
Middle School Meet the Pros session is:
Friday, April 11
7:45am – 10:15am
Location: Grand Ballroom
You will check in as a MTP Presenter upon arrival where you will receive confirmation of your presentation, a t-shirt, your name tag, and a certificate of recognition for presenting. On the day you are presenting, you will check-in for your MTP Session in the Grand Ballroom at 7:15am after getting breakfast.
High School Meet the Pros session is:
Sunday, April 13
7:45am – 10:15am
Location: Grand Ballroom
You will check in as a MTP Presenter upon arrival where you will receive confirmation of your presentation, a t-shirt, your name tag, and a certificate of recognition for presenting. On the day you are presenting, you will check-in for your MTP Session in the Grand Ballroom at 7:15am after getting breakfast.
- Eat breakfast and arrive with positive spirit for check-in!
- Set up your table handouts/goodies at each seat; the remainder stays with you).
- ALWAYS have water!
- Begin – introduce yourself and the name of your school.
- Be enthusiastic — it’s contagious!
- Engage with others – have them share their ideas as well!
- Explain the information on your handout as opposed to just reading it.
- Allow a few minutes at the end for questions and other suggestions they have pertaining to your topic. Always be supportive of their ideas.
- Thank them for attending your session!
- Repeat the process 6 times. You will be doing Session One 3x and Session Two 3x (they are back to back)
If using a laptop, remember there will not be electrical outlets near the tables and there will not be Internet access in the ballroom. Please download anything you need and make sure your laptop’s charge can last the entire time, plus any setup and practice time!
Make sure to have 65 copies of your handout!
